Haultrax introduces HX Coach, bringing operational coaching insights into its Fleet Management System

For more than 15 years, Haultrax has worked alongside mining operations to improve the way their fleets perform, combining technology with on-site operational expertise, coaching and training.
Now, Haultrax is bringing that expertise directly into its Fleet Management System.

At IMARC 2026, Haultrax will introduce HX Coach, a major new capability within Haultrax Fleet Management System (FMS) designed to turn operational data into relevant, actionable insights for the people running the fleet.

HX Coach brings together site data with Haultrax’s knowledge of mining operations to identify opportunities around safety, productivity and operational performance. It interprets what is happening across the operation and determines what information is relevant, who needs to see it and when it is most useful.

It moves beyond simply providing visibility of data, bringing insights traditionally delivered through analysis, coaching and training into the everyday FMS experience.

“We’ve spent more than 15 years working alongside mining operations, with our people on site every day helping customers improve productivity and performance. We’re now taking that depth of operational knowledge and investing it back into our technology,” said Shyamal Sharma, Haultrax’s Managing Director. “The next generation of fleet management won’t be defined by how much data a system can collect, but by how effectively it can turn that data into useful operational insight. HX Coach brings that vision to life, embedding our operational expertise directly into the FMS.”.

And HX Coach is only one part of Haultrax’s major IMARC launch.
Following last year’s introduction of the new Supervisor UI and HXTag hardware, Haultrax will also unveil a fresh operator interface and a completely redesigned dispatching interface.

HX Coach: From operational data to operational coaching

One of the first applications of HX Coach will be within the new operator experience, where it analyses performance and provides timely, relevant feedback and context to help operators understand their performance and where opportunities for improvement exist.

For example, an operator might be notified that their spot time at the loading unit is averaging 8 seconds longer than the fleet on their run. Instead of leaving that information buried within time usage data, HX Coach brings it directly to the operator’s attention, helping them recognise a potential performance gap.

HX Coach can also help operators identify and respond to potential safety risks. As an operator approaches a corner, ramp or other section of the haul road where a lower speed is required, HX Coach can provide a timely reminder to slow down. Beyond these in-the-moment prompts, it can identify patterns over time. For example, an operator could be notified that their average speed through tight corners is higher than expected, providing context around the potential impact on safety, tyre temperature and wear.

The goal is not to add another stream of notifications or alerts or another screen full of data. It is to identify the information that matters and make it visible when it is most relevant.

From visibility to action – How does HX Coach help supervisors?

For supervisors, HX Coach takes the same operational data and looks at it through a different lens. Rather than surfacing every individual event, it can identify patterns over time and bring them forward when they warrant attention.

For example, while an operator may receive timely feedback around speed during a shift, HX Coach can group those events over time and alert a supervisor when a developing pattern may require further attention.
Instead of asking supervisors to find the signal within the data, HX Coach brings forward what they need to know and where action may be required. These insights can help identify opportunities for targeted coaching and inform specific training based on what is happening across the operation.

In this way, HX Coach helps close the gap between data, insight and action – translating the same operational data into relevant information for different roles, at the time it matters.

A new experience across the FMS

HX Coach will make its IMARC debut alongside a fresh Haultrax operator interface, designed to put relevant information closer to the people operating the equipment in a clearer, more intuitive experience.

IMARC will also mark the first presentation of Haultrax’s completely redesigned dispatching interface, rethinking how dispatchers interact with the information they need to coordinate the fleet throughout a shift.

Together, HX Coach and the new operator and dispatching interfaces represent a significant expansion of the Haultrax FMS experience, reflecting Haultrax’s continued investment in advancing the FMS around the people, decisions and information needs across an operation.
