What we are looking for
TeamHX has evolved organically by leveraging our most important asset – our team. Each HX team member contributes to who we are, culturally and professionally. As we continue to grow, it becomes increasingly pivotal we recruit new team members who not only bring their unique talents and skills but also resonate deeply with our fundamental values that have been the cornerstone of our success. We are looking to amplify our effectiveness as a team and nurture an environment where everyone can thrive and contribute meaningfully to our shared goals.
Support from day one
We want to set you up for success from day one. Below are some incentives we facilitate to allow you to settle into Haultrax and the mining industry in general.
-
1. Leadership Commitment
Our leadership team foster a culture of open communication to provide continual support for all team members. Dedicated meetings with your team lead or our Leadership and Growth Executive offer a great platform to voice your thoughts, feelings and opinions to gain actionable insights and resources.
-
2. Women in FIFO Mentor and Empowerment Coach
We understand that a FIFO roster can be demanding, overwhelming and often isolating, Haultrax provides our women in FIFO roles with one-on-one sessions with a female coach specialised in this field. These sessions are aimed at helping women prepare for their first trip on site, as well as follow-up conversations for those needing extra support on how to manage the various facets of working on site.
The sessions will be tailored to support your specific needs, aspirations, and concerns.
-
3. Accelerating Women in METS – Austmine internship programme
The METS sector has high demand for a broad range of STEM skills to develop the advanced technologies needed for sustainable mining and a renewable future. Haultrax is a proud supporter and active collaborator to this initiative.
-
4. Purposeful Onboarding
Your buddy, along with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the HX team, will guide and immerse you into the HX culture during your onboarding. A blend of introductory calls and comprehensive onboarding covering cultural, operational, and system aspects will equip you with everything you need to start your journey smoothly.
Our recruitment process
At Haultrax, we welcome all candidates, from entry level to leadership – if you hold the right values and a passion for what you do, we want to work with you. Should you be selected for interview, your recruitment experience will look like this:
Interview 1:
Let’s get to know each other! The interview environment is friendly and conversational to give you a look into our team dynamic. Whilst we are interested in your skills and experience, we love getting know who you truly are, your interests, what brings you joy, what is thought-provoking for you, what you learned about yourself through your various experiences.
Interview 2:
Technical Overview: If you have a successful first round interview, you will progress to a second round, where we will introduce you to new team members, often those you will work closely with in your proposed new role. Come armed with lots of questions, and chat to us to get a feel for the role, your day-to-day tasks, and the team to ensure we are a good match.
At this point, Haultrax will make a decision on offering a position to you. If you are successful, you will receive the good news via a phone call, closely followed by a letter of offer and contract of employment.
Coffee / Catch up:
If we are unable to introduce you to your team lead through the interview process, we encourage you to meet with them prior to starting to get a glimpse into your first few weeks at Haultrax. Our team will be in touch to discuss the specifics.
